Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ScatterBrains (“the Service”), operated by Perrice Consulting (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

ScatterBrains is an executive-function assistant that helps you capture thoughts, organize them into missions, score their alignment with your goals, and optionally sync with third-party tools such as Notion and Google Sheets. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it as needed. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
• Reverse engineer or misuse the Service or its integrations except as permitted by law.

The Service lets you connect third-party tools, including Notion and Google. Your use of those tools is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your connections to them are made at your own discretion. You can disconnect any integration at any time.

You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service (your captures, tasks, and missions). You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display that content in order to provide the Service to you, including processing capture text with our AI provider as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated results (such as task parsing or alignment scores) will be accurate. You are responsible for your own decisions and actions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Perrice Consulting will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

ScatterBrains is free to use up to a limited number of AI actions. ScatterBrains Pro is an optional paid subscription costing $8.00 USD per month, billed monthly.

When you are charged. Your card is charged $8.00 when you subscribe, and $8.00 each month thereafter on the same date. There is no trial period — the free tier is available without a card so you can evaluate ScatterBrains before subscribing.

Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. You authorize us, through our payment processor, to charge your payment method on each renewal date.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing in the app, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops all future charges. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, then reverts to the free tier. Your captured content is not deleted when Pro access ends.

Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for partial months. ScatterBrains' free tier lets you use the product and evaluate it, without a card, before you subscribe. This does not affect any refund rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we keep your Pro access active while our payment processor retries. If the payment ultimately fails, the subscription ends and your account reverts to the free tier.

Price changes. We may change the price of Pro. We will give you notice before a change takes effect, and it will only apply to billing periods beginning after that notice.

Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your use of Stripe checkout is also governed by Stripe's terms and privacy policy.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
